Know how to configure the Hotmail IMAP settings for MAC mail

Follow the step by step process and easily configure the Hotmail IMAP settings:

• Open Mac mail and click on Mail followed by Add Account.
• Then click on Add other mail Account.
• Now enter your Full Name, address and password. A box appears saying ‘Account must be manually configured’.
• Next select IMAP, add mail server as imap-mail.outlook.com and enter your User Name and password in their respective fields. Click Next to move forward.
• Now enter port number as 993, select the Use SSL checkbox, and leave Authentication as Password.
• Next add Outgoing Mail server as smtp-mail.outlook.com and enter the details asked about username and password.
• If asked enter port number as 25 or 587.
